Our story
Number 4 Farms is a family nursery and working farm. We grow cedar hedges and container evergreens that can take the wind, and we open the gate so neighbours can walk the rows and take home something that will still be alive in five winters.
The name comes from the fourth quarter-section we farmed first—a prairie land-survey habit, not a marketing slogan. Production fields of cedar, a container yard, hoop houses, and a small orchard now sit on that same kind of ground.
We sell to homeowners, landscapers, and municipalities. If a plant is not hardy enough for an exposed Alberta yard, we would rather say no than send it home with you.
The farm side—u-pick, harvest weekends, the stand—exists because growing food and growing landscape plants are the same job: pay attention to the season, and do not rush the crop.
